BOWERING: Jennie Bowering passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the age of 79 years. Jennie was born to Marja Mozgala and Stanislaw Brania on November 11, 1942 in Wishart, SK. Her parents were originally from Poland and passed away in 1948 leaving behind nine children. Jennie leaves behind her three daughters: Loralee (Dave), Donna, and Gale; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way; her older sister, Julia and her younger sister, Martha; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her only son, Calvin Blake and siblings: Helen, Stella, Isaac, Andrew, Edward and Bernie. Jennie was a creative soul who expressed care by making things for her loved ones. When her children were young, she would sew all their clothes, crochet sweaters and blankets and sew doll clothes and stuffed animals. She loved to make homemade food from scratch including perogies, cabbage rolls, cinnamon buns and bread and in the summer, she gardened, picked berries and canned. Jennie loved nature and spent much of her time in her later years painting flowers, mountains, rivers and sunset scenes. She was a social butterfly on Facebook and loved to comment on and share posts of her friends and family, especially photos of her great grandchildren. The family is grateful for the loving care provided by the nurses and staff at Morley House in Shoal Lake, MB. Jennie raved about the quality of the home cooked meals, and we know she made some wonderful friends with nurses and staff while she was there. To share a memory of Jennie or send a condolence to her family, please reach out to Loralee by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. A memorial to honour and celebrate Jennie’s life will be held in the summer in a park in Brandon, MB. Those wishing to attend should reach out to the family directly for more information.
