Obituary of Marie Maluga

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marie Maluga, surrounded by family at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at the age of 83.

 

Marie was born on May 20, 1941, in Russell, Manitoba. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

Marie had a deep passion for gardening and cooking, and she took great pride in creating a warm and welcoming home for her family. Her kindness, strength, and love will be cherished forever.

 

She is predeceased by her beloved daughter, Lisa Maluga; her sons, Brian Maluga and Grant Maluga; her parents, George and Mabel Walchuck; and her sister, Debbie Zibresky.

 

Marie will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Keith Maluga (Susan) and Glenn Maluga; her grandchildren, Grant Maluga, Chanesty Maluga, Destiny Maluga, and Maximus Ricard; and her great-grandchildren, Lawson Maluga and Juniper Maluga Cloud. She is also survived by her sister, Pearl Froom.

 

 

A private celebration of Marie’s life will be held in the spring or summer in Brandon, Manitoba.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marie’s memory may be made to the Western Manitoba Cancer Care, 300 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, MB R7A 2M8.
