Roralee Nychuk

Obituary of Roralee Nychuk

Roralee Cheryl Nychuk of Brandon, Manitoba and former resident of Thompson, Manitoba passed away suddenly on Monday, January 27, 2025 at the age of 57. Born in Medicine Hat, Alberta on February 24, 1967, Roralee was named by her grandmother after the northern lights, and shine she did like the dancing auroras in the night sky. Roralee was beautiful inside and out and will be remembered for her generosity, great sense of humor, and for the bright light she shone.

Roralee was deeply dedicated to her career and had a profound impact on the lives of many. She spent several years working with youth at Marymound North in Thompson, Manitoba where her compassion and guidance made a lasting difference. Later, she continued her commitment to public service as a sheriff in Brandon, Manitoba. Her dedication, kindness and strong sense of duty will always be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing and working with her.

Roralee leaves behind her beloved children, Alysha Marques (Paul), Tyler Nielsen, and her much loved grandson Seth, and granddaughter Lexi. She is survived by her mother Bernice Flammand, sisters Roxanne Rushton (GM), Ronelda Lange, and Grant Damsgaard (Donna), and her many nieces and nephews. Roralee will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. Her light will forever shine in our thoughts and in our hearts. A celebration of life will be held on behalf of the family at a later date.
