Obituary of Ronson Brass

Ronald Anthony Dennis (Ronson) Brass Junior

August 22, 1980 - January 21, 2025

Ronson passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 21, 2025 after a lengthy stay at the Assiniboine Centre in Brandon, MB. Ronson was born in the small town of Swan River, MB and moved to the city of Brandon with his parents when he was just four months old. Ronson was always an avid artist and excelled in the art of drawing cartoons when he attended Crocus Plains High School. A large influence for his art was his love of comics and through his creativity he would design characters that were his own creation. Ronson had many other interests that included watching WWE wrestling, The Simpson's, South Park and anything to do with the Marvel series. This past time was shared with his two children Noah and Rosie. When it came to work, Ronson held many jobs but the job that he enjoyed the most was driving taxi in the city of Brandon.

Ronson is survived by his children Noah and Rosie Archie; parents Ron and Ida Brass; sister Corrina Canart (Matthew); brothers Mathew Meeches and Cody Houle (Katrina), and half-sister Mandy. He is also survived by his Aunts Barbara Woolford, Rubyann Brass, Marlene Spence, Debbie Huntinghawk (Richard); Uncle Jerry Spence; nephew Patrick Canart; niece Sara Canart, and many, many cousins.

Ronson is predeceased by his great grandpa Alex McKay; grandparents Abel and Theresa Spence and Harvey and Rita Brass; uncles Harold Brass, Keith Brass, Robert Brass; God father Dennis Strongquill; Joe Spence, Larry Spence, Gary Spence; uncle Edward Spence, and baby brothers Stephen and Patrick Brass.

A celebration of Ronson’s life will be held at the Brandon Friendship Centre, 205 College Ave, on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Urn bearers will be Ronson’s children, Noah and Rosie Archie.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made in Ronson's name to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation and direct your donation to either the Assiniboine Centre 3rd floor or the ICU. A link to the donation page is attached.
