Obituary of Courtney Tacan

Courtney Tacan “Ŝina Wičanĥpi Waci’sa Win” (Dancing Star Blanket Woman) passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 28, 2025 at the age of 44 years. Courtney will be lovingly remembered by her children Corbin, Reilly, Dorian, Bryden & Lily. A traditional wake will be held at the Sioux Valley Veterans’ Hall on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 beginning at 4:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Sioux Valley Catholic Cemetery.
