Gayle Campbell

Obituary of Gayle Campbell

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gayle Campbell (née Riach), who left us peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, June 22, 2025.

Gayle was the beloved wife of Rodderic Campbell, devoted mother to Patrick (Teresa and children), Deryk (Allison and children) and Heather (James and children) She was a cherished wife, mom and grandma, a loving friend, and a compassionate soul whose warmth touched many.

Gayle graduated from Grace Hospital nursing program in spring, 1971. Gayle met Rod in Winnipeg and they married in the fall of 1971. They resided in Winnipeg where they had their first child Patrick then moved to Morden where they added Deryk to their family, then to Camrose, Alberta where they welcomed their third child, Heather. They settled in Brandon and raised their family.

Gayle dedicated her career to bringing new life into the world as a labour and delivery nurse, a calling she pursued with grace, strength, and unwavering care. Through decades of service, she supported countless families in their most vulnerable and joyful moments — her calming presence and deep empathy left a lasting impact on all who crossed her path.

Her kindness, wit, and resilience defined her. She loved deeply, listened well, and lived with purpose. Whether she was nurturing her family, mentoring colleagues, or enjoying quiet moments, Gayle gave her full self to every part of life.

She will be remembered always for the life she led, the lives she touched, and the love she gave so freely.

A private family interment will be held the morning of July 12, 2025 and a celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Carberry United Church, 608 3rd Ave, Carberry, with time for fellowship to follow in United Church Hall.
