Obituary of Phyllis Lucy Warnick

Phyllis Warnick passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025 at her home at Hillcrest Personal Care. Born on December 13, 1931 in Brandon, Manitoba, Phyllis grew up and attended school in the North End. She married Bill Sr. at St. Hedwig’s Roman Catholic Church on June 14, 1952. Phyllis dedicated her working career at the Maple Leaf processing plant, and then as a clerk at the Brandon Clinic. In her spare time, she was a member of the St. Hedwig’s Catholic Women’s League. She was an avid bowler and gardener too. Phyllis is reunited with her late husband Bill, with whom she shared 68 years of marriage. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Bill (Deborah) Warnick and daughter Janet (the late Terry) Law; grandchildren, Bill Jr. (Debra), Jeremy (Treena), Alana (Marla), Tara (Lonnie), Kerri (Dave) and Cristy (Jay); 10 great-grandchildren as well as sister, Bernice Shurb.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, 327 4th Street, Brandon, MB on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Brandon Cemetery. Donations in memory of Phyllis may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 457 9th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 1K2. Complete obituary information to follow.
