Obituary of Florence Manning

On Tuesday, September 9th, 2025 Florence, “Fletch” Manning passed away peacefully at Hillcrest Place Personal Care Home at the age 103.

Fletch is lovingly remembered by her children Frank, Mike, Lauretta and Allison as well as numerous grand, great grand, and great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Russell (Rusty), children Linda, Ross and Avis, and grandson Eric Fletcher. 

Fletch spent the majority of her life in Reston where she assisted Rusty in the production of the Reston Recorder and raised her children. She was very active in the community and was famous for her candied apples on Halloween. 

Mom will be remembered as a fun loving, kind, spirited person with a little mischief mixed in. All of her family and everyone that knew her had a least one humorous story to share. She was the core of our family and she will be sadly missed by all.
