Obituary of Bonena "Bonnie" Schellenberg

Bonena (Bonnie) Irene Schellenberg was born on December 2, 1946 and passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 16, 2025 in Rideau Park Personal Care Home at the age of 78.

Bonnie was predeceased by parents Stanley & Moneta Firth, her husband of 42 years, Rudy Schellenberg, sister-in-law Dianne and close friend Jack.  Bonnie is survived by her loving brother Bill, niece Lauren (Craig) their children Kayla, Haven, Liberty and Grace and niece Renee (Tom).

Bonnie loved Elvis, small dogs, doll collecting, reading, baking, sewing, quilting, Chinese food, McDoubles, iced coffees in the summer and a good joke to make her smile or laugh.

Special thanks to her dear friend Kathy and to Kerri, Nicole and all the nurses and staff at Rideau Park PCH who deeply cared for Bonnie in her final years.  

It’s a relief to know the Lord has called Bonnie home to relieve her from any pain. Bonnie’s faith was strong: “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil: for thou art with me.”

Rest in peace Bonnie… may God bless you and keep you.
