Obituary of Robert Tait

It is with great sadness, and profound gratitude for a full and loving life, that the family of Robert (Bob) Tait announce his passing.

Bob was a devoted husband to Susan, cherished father to Jill and Erin, father-in-law to Kyle, and Grandpa Bob to Nora, Sarah, and Molly.

For his loved ones, there could never have been enough time with Bob, but Susan, Jill and Erin are so grateful to have been at his side during his final days. Bob passed peacefully in his sleep on October 20,^, 2025 with Susan by his side, only short hours after being wished goodnight by his daughters. The family spent that evening together watching his Blue Jays dominate game 6 against the Seattle Mariners, followed by his favorite National news – moments that will be forever treasured.

The thoughtful care for Bob, and the kindness and compassion shown towards Susan, Jill and Erin from the team of nurses and aids at the Brandon Regional Health Centre Palliative Care Unit will always be remembered and appreciated for the difference it made while spending Bob’s final days together as a family. Susan, Jill and Erin wish to thank the wonderful people who eased their pain and distress, with particular appreciation for Tamara, Katya, and Chantal.

A celebration of Bob’s life will take place at Brockie Donovan Funeral Home, 332 8^th Street in Brandon, on Monday, October 27^th at 11:00 a.m. Full obituary to follow.
