Obituary of Diane Lambert

Diane Lambert

October 16, 1945 – October 18, 2025 

We are mourning the passing of Diane Lambert. 

Diane was born in Winnipeg and then lived in various locations in Manitoba as was in care after the passing of her parents.  

For the last 3 years Diane was cared for in the Dinsdale Care home here in Brandon and prior to that Diane was with us in Family Visions for 19 years.   

Diane was small in stature but mighty of heart.  Diane loved dresses and necklaces and so always looked like an elegant lady as one of her generation would often look. Diane had a hearty laugh that one would recognize if hearing her down a hall or outside, and it would bring a huge grin to anyone in her presence. Often Diane could be heard laughing at old slapstick type comedy movies….her favourite.   

Diane was very affectionate to those she cared about.  She would give kisses and hugs very willingly and like if people reciprocated.  Spending time just having coffee quietly at home or going on a long drive were simple things that Diane enjoyed.  Diane is survived by her brothers Paul and George ( of Southwest Manitoba ) who had a visit with her in Brandon in May at her brother Richards 78th birthday party.  It was an emotional reunion as the 4 had not been together in at least 3 years.   

Diane passed only 5 days after her brother Richard and 2 days after her 80th birthday.  We like to believe that this is no coincidence that somehow, they needed to be with one another like they had for many years, as Richard was also supported through Family Visions.

Family Visions

A memorial service for Diane and Richard will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332 8th Street, Brandon, MB on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 1:30 p.m.
