Obituary of Shirley Norquay

Shirley Pauline Norquay, Nangoose-ekwe-ebun (Little Star Woman) started her journey to the spirit world on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

Shirley's past employment included working at The Women's Shelter, The Brandon Friendship Centre, Brandon Correctional Centre, and retired from West Region Treaty 2 & 4 Health Services in the Spring of 2025. She loved her community and will be missed by many.

Shirley is survived by her daughter Lorrie Norquay (grandchildren Lorissa (Jesse) & Shayla (Zack), and her sons Nicholas Merrick, Chris Norquay (granddaughters Talon & Cedar), Keith Norquay (granddaughters Kara, Kiane, & Keely and grandsons Sageyn & Cageyn), and Ken Jr. Norquay.

She is reunited with her parents, siblings, grandchildren and her husband Ken Norquay Sr.

The Celebration of Life will be held at Makaday Ginew Hall – 205 College Avenue on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.  Her ceremony will start at 10:00 a.m. followed by a feast at 12:00. She will be laid to rest in Minnedosa afterwards.
