Obituary of Heather Wilson

Heather Wilson passed away peacefully at the Assiniboine Centre on Friday, January 23, 2026. She was born and raised in West Vancouver, BC, and later enjoyed many happy years living in Brandon, MB. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Harry, daughter Lucy, sister-in-law Janet (Trevor) Johnson as well as a long list of close friends and acquaintances in British Columbia, Manitoba and the U.S.

Heather faced her cancer diagnosis with stoicism and pragmatism. We would like to sincerely thank the Western Manitoba Cancer Centre staff, especially Drs. Anderson and Kristjanson, for the excellent care and support provided to Heather.  A special thank you to friends Cathy and David Greenwood, Colleen Liddle, Jocelyn Funk and Suzanne Koop for your kindness during a difficult time.

As per Heather’s request, no formal service will be held. To honour Heather’s memory, please enjoy some fine dining and raise a glass of wine for a toast with family and friends.  Alternatively, a donation in Heather’s name to the Western Manitoba Cancer Centre in Brandon would be greatly appreciated.
