Ward passed away peacefully with family by his side at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on March 1, 2026. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports, playing games, and quality time with family and friends. He was known for his excellent sense of humor, and touching many lives, including the students who he cared for deeply during his 22 years as an EA, teacher, and principal at Sioux Valley and Birdtail schools. Ward was predeceased by his father Allan, sister Rose, and brother Mike. He will be greatly missed by his children Colten, Solana, Taza, and Wakinya;  granddaughter Iyla, his mother Dorothy, sisters Karen, Kathryn, Deborah, Tracy, brother Darrel, as well his cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts , uncles, and all of their families. A traditional service will be held at Sioux Valley Veterans Hall on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. As per Ward’s request a private family interment will be held. Ward will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
