Bishop Malcolm was our dear friend, brother in Christ, and our humble Bishop in the Church of God. But he is more....He is a continuing example in our memories as a faithful servant leader and disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ. Marylou, be assured our love and prayers for you and your family as we join you through the livestream of the Celebration of +Malcolm's life and in the days and months ahead.

It was with great sadness that I heard of Bishop Malcolm's passing. Bishop Malcolm was the one who put me on the path to becoming an ordained clergy member. A shared joke between us was the question he would ask whenever we would meet, prior to my studies, "Jona, have you sold those cows yet?" Those cows were standing between me and the studies Bishop Malcolm had set up for me.
Marylou, my deepest condolences to you and your family. Even when we know that Bishop Malcolm has gone home to his Lord, I know that each one of you will mourn the part that he held in your lives. He was a kind and loving presence, and he worked tirelessly for his Lord. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Marylou. I will be forever grateful for having the honour of knowing Bishop Malcolm, and for the grace he showed through his friendship and ministry.
With much love to all of you, his precious family,
Jona Weitzel

Sending my condolences on Malcolm’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
I enjoyed the many conversations I had with Malcolm at Riverheights Terrace and also at the Lamont’s at Christmas.Malcolm was very kind when Janid and Mike were married and very supportive when my husband, Vernon passed away. Support that I greatly appreciated and needed.
As you remember and honour him my thoughts are with you. A quote from Francois Mauriac “No friendship
can cross the path of our destiny without leaving some mark on it forever.”
Sincerely,
Marlene Shantz
