Obituary of Wayne Wasicuna

Wayne Wasicuna passed away peacefully at the Dakota Oyate Lodge on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at the age of 79 years. Wayne will be lovingly remembered by his children, Don, Carlos (Angel), Rosita (Dustin), Jeremy (Kathleen), Michael (Sky), Christine (Tristin), and Mary (Jamie), as well as many grandchildren and other relatives. He was predeceased by his wife Giovanna, son David, and grandson Josh. An evening service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8^th Street, on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. A traditional funeral service will be held at the Sioux Valley Veterans’ Hall on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 beginning at 11:00 a.m., with a Christian service to begin at 1:00 p.m. Wayne’s family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at the Reston Health Center for the care and support he received.
