Obituary of John Warnick

WARNICK: John Warnick (August 26, 1924 - March 23, 2013). With his wife Phyllis and stepdaughter Valerie by his side, John Warnick passed away peacefully in palliative care, floor 3A at the Assiniboine Centre on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the age of 88 years. John was predeceased by his parents Fred and Katherine and his daughter, Marlene. John is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis, his stepdaughter Valerie (Richard,) his sister Helen and brother Mickey (Helen,) his five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. John was born in 1924 in Brandon, MB. John served on active service with the Royal Canadian Air Force, from 1943 to 1946. He then went to work for the Canadian Pacific Railways, which he retired from in 1985. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at the Assiniboine Centre for their compassion and kind care. Cremation will take place and as per John's wishes, there will be no service.
