Obituary of Martha Jean Elk

ELK: Martha Jean Elk "Patkasada Zi Winyan - Yellow Turtle Woman" Beloved wife of Nelson Mazawasicuna and dear mother of Gail, Martha, Tammy, Derek, April, Sheryl, Ryan, Robbie and Shaun. Martha is survived by 35 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Martha was predeceased by her two precious sons Brian and Joe Taylor, sweet grandson, Hayden and great grandchildren Delray and Illiana. A Service to Honor Martha will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Traditional Funeral Services will be held at the Sioux Valley Veterans Hall on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 commencing between 10:00 -10:30 a.m. Mr. & Mrs. Dave and Jan Thiessen will officiate. Burial will take place at the Elk Family Cemetery.
