Obituary of Ardith Forsyth

FORSYTH -W. Ardith (Ardy) passed away on September 16, 2013. She was born to Robert and Grace Lamb at Arden, Manitoba on October 29th, 1916. In the early 1920's a few years after the death of her mother, her family moved to Alberta. Ardy came back to Winnipeg in 1943 to work for relatives and a few months later ended up at the Sanatorium at Ninette where she spent a number of years both as patient and on staff. In 1961 she married Harold Forsyth of Miniota and they resided in Brandon all their married life. Harold passed away in 1988. She was predeceased by sister Coral Gauthier and brother Murray Lamb, sisters-in-law Marion Forsyth and Lorna Newton, brothers-in-law Roy Gauthier, Don Forsyth and Rev. Harold Newton and niece Cheryl Hladilo. She is survived by sister-in-law Ciss Lamb of Fredericton, NB and a number of nieces and nephews and their families. At Ardy's request there will be no funeral or memorial service. Cremation has taken place and her ashes have been buried at Miniota Cemetery beside Harold. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice in her memory.
