Obituary of Donna Wallace

WALLACE: Mrs. Donna Jean Wallace, beloved wife of the late Ken Wallace, passed away at St. Boniface Hospital on November 17, 2013 at the age of 61 years. Donna was born on April 18, 1952 in Portage la Prairie, MB. She attended Victoria School in her elementary years, later attending Brandon Collegiate. Donna moved to Brandon in 1968 with her parents, Jim and Shirley McMurrich and younger sister, Judy. In 1970, Donna met her soul mate, Ken Wallace, whom she married May 22, 1971. Donna and Ken settled in Brandon, starting their family in 1974. Donna worked for the Clinic Pharmacy for almost 43 years, taking time off only for the birth of her children. Donna was the #1 fan to her children, grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, rarely missing a sports game. She was an avid sports fan, holding season tickets to the Wheat King games. Donna was a funny, kind-hearted, loving woman, who always put the needs of others before herself. Donna is survived by daughter Deann (Scott) McDonald, son Cory Wallace and daughter Jodie (Rhys) Bolton, grandchildren Samantha and Tyrran Heide, Austin and Lexa Goodon, Jordan and Nick McDonald, sister Judy (George) MacKay, sister-in-law Carol Wilms, brother-in-law Ed Wilms and many nieces and nephews. Donna was predeceased by Ken, her husband of 38 years, parents Jim and Shirley McMurrich, father and mother-in-law Clifford and Dorothy Wallace, sister-in-law Marg Wilms and brother-in-law Jack Wallace. A private graveside burial took place on Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Brandon Cemetery, followed by a service at the Brockie Donovan Chapel with Kim Lewarne, Certified Funeral Celebrant, officiating. Urn Bearers were grandsons Austin Goodon and Tyrran Heide.
