Obituary of Elizabeth "Betty" Catherine Burton

BURTON: It is with great sadness that the family of Elizabeth "Betty" Burton announces her death, at the age of 97, on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at her residence, Rideau Park. Formerly of the Forrest District and The Towers in Brandon, Betty was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1979. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Kathryn (Ken Knight) of Brandon, Barbara (Harvey Brown) of Hamiota and Jon (Twylla) Burton of Forrest. Also mourning her loss are seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A Celebration of life will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Joe Ball officiating. A private family interment will take place at the Brandon Cemetery prior to the service. If friends so desire, a memorial donation may be made to Trinity United Church, 1515-6th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 6B3 or to a charity of choice.
