To John and the Graham family, How could anyone watch the video tribute and not be moved to joyful tears. What a beautiful woman and beautiful family. There was not a picture of your Mother Charlotte without a smile. Which beamed more? Her eyes, her dimples or her smile? Love and kindness and an impish sense of humor radiated out of her. I wish I knew her. What I do know is some of those same qualites have been passed on to John who I have been able to enjoy over our years of working together. Rick and I were so very sad to hear of Charlotte's passing. Charlotte was a very special lady who made everyone who knew her feel so special. Dear Alex--There are not enough words to express how shocked and deeply saddened we are to hear of your dear Charlotte's passing.
When we met her so very long ago in Selkirk we knew yours was the love that would stand the test of time. You and Charlotte were such wonderful neighbours to us. She handled the ups and downs of life graciously with her special dimple-filled smile. Whenever we would cross paths as we both transferred around the province, she always spoke with great love of her children and later her grandchildren. She was so proud of all of you.

It is with heavy hearts we find out about this just moments ago. Unfortunately we will not make it in time to attend the funeral tomorrow. Karen and I have many good memories of the good times we had together, and will always cherish her memory. We pray for you all at this time, and the next time we are in Brandon will give you (Alex) a call for coffee. She always had a smile and a good word to say about everybody, and was always the first to welcome somebody to the community with a freshly baked cake. No doubt she will become heaven's greeter with her smile, kind words and with an angel cake!

Graham Family-- Although unfortunately we only met Charlotte once she left a huge impression as a kind, warm, graceful, loving person who cherished her family. Dear Alex, Jen, John, and families, we have been so blessed to have been apart of your lives for the past 40 years and to share in the life of your dear Charlotte, Mom, Grandma.
We have especially enjoyed the past three years of cruising and spending quantity time as well as quality, in Florida. God blessed us abundantly, and for that we will be eternally thankful. Having worked with Charlotte I knew her to be the most patient, kind, caring, and hardworking employee any school could wish to enploy.
She loved kids - especially Gordon that she spent so much time with - and I know he felt the same about her.

Alex, Jennifer, John and Families: We are all shocked and heartbroken to hear of Charlotte's passing. My heart aches at this so very sudden loss of such a wonderful cousin.
Charlotte was five years older than I and oh, how I adored her! I wanted to have a ponytail like hers, dimples like hers, and a boyfriend like Alex. At least he never paid me to get lost as Ernie did! (And Dave never paid me to scram, either.) Sers knew enough to take off and leave Judy and Ernie alone; I just sat there rejoicing in my sudden windfall. I don't recall Judy ever giving me a nudge out of the room, so I assumed they enjoyed the sparkling wit and conversation of an 8-year old. Charlotte took me everywhere and how I loved tagging along with her and Alex, even on the occasional date. Sorry, Alex.
Whenever we visited Ottawa, I always shared a bed with Char and she always got me to scratch her back to put her to sleep. Whenever I'd ask her to do the same for me, she'd fall asleep within half a minute. I never knew for sure if she really fell asleep or was just pulling a fast one on me. But I'd lay there playing with her beautiful hair until I too fell asleep.
She was a very special, extremely thoughtful and kind Angel on earth and I'm certain that God is very pleased to now have her in His House with her Mom and Dad and Dave 'though He knows the great pain her leaving has caused. She touched so many lives and lives on forever in the wonderful memories of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She'll always be with all of you, watching over you, loving you.

So very saddened to hear of your loss. Mrs. Graham (Charlotte) was a great teacher that made an impact in my life. I remember one time specifically that she kindly accepted a clover that I picked from the school yard and clipped it in the locket she was wearing and wore it all day. As a kid, that made a huge impact (I still remember it!). She was kind and thoughtful and now I have the pleasure of seeing that legacy in Jennifer as she teaches my kids. Michelle and I just went up to see Charlotte at Assiniboine Center and was told the news. So sorry for your loss.
