Obituary of Irene Ennis

ENNIS: Irene Ennis passed away peacefully at her residence, Rideau Park Personal Care Home in Brandon, Manitoba, on Thursday, March 6, 2014, at the age of 90 years, just three days after her birthday. Irene was born in Brandon, Manitoba on March 3, 1924. She grew up in Brandon along with her six siblings. She married William John Ennis on June 12, 1946. They had five daughters, Anne, Florence, Sandy, Diane and another daughter who died in infancy. She was predeceased by parents Herbert and Florence Gratton, her husband Jack, daughter Florence (Jacques) Tremblay, sister Florence and brothers Austin, Leslie and William. She leaves to cherish her memory her three daughters Anne (Dale) Remezoff, Sandy (Malcolm) Thomas and Diane Desmarais. Grandchildren Carry (Rae) Oertel and family, Jamie (Gavin) Reynolds and family, Roger Tremblay, Dana (Colin) Drohan, Darcy and Duane (Tera) Ennis, Derek, Angela and Billy Desmarais, Brandi, Bridget, and David Thomas, twenty nine great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. She loved playing bingo, cards, and making crafts with her friends at Rideau Park Personal Care Home. Thanks to the staff at Rideau Park for making her last days a memory we will never forget. Thanks to Carry, Jamie, Anne, Roger, Sarena, Bev and Joyce for all their help in making this day happen. Funeral service was held on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Brockie Donovan Chapel, in Brandon, Manitoba. Graveside followed at Brandon Cemetery. Reception was held at Bethel Christian Assembly.
