Her duties varied from food tester, courtesy clerk, and in her final weeks she had been training in the floral department. Marlene enjoyed nature and exploring her artistic side. She was always bringing home rocks and new treasures she found. She enjoyed collecting shells and coins and anything unusual. Marlene always challenged herself to try new things including teaching herself calligraphy, plastic canvas, cross stitch and she was looking forward to learning Hardanger needlework. She enjoyed gardening and had a love hate relationship with the raspberries. She enjoyed cooking and baking, always encouraging someone to try a new recipe. Marlene is survived by her dearest treasure Erica and Erica's partner, Shane Kelm and his son Rhys. She is also survived by her sisters: Linda (John) Dyck; Deanna (Allan) Main; Bev King (Ken Biegun) and her children Justin, Evan and Morgan; Patricia (Lorne) Parobec; Debora (Lavern) Arndt and their children Jordan and Devin.
