Charles,
Your Mother was a very dear friend of my Mom. I had met her several times and was always impressed by her positive attitude and caring for others. She sang in the St. Augustine Choir with Mom, they would team up for projects. She was a faithful visitor to Mom when she took ill. My she rest in peace, bless you and your family.

Liebe Grüße an Euch alle.
Klaus Volk.

As their nephew I was gifted by staying with Tante Elfriede and Onkel Hermann on my visits througout the years. She allways made you feel wellcome in a heartwarming way and I never wanted to leave. Knowing that we said goodbye for the last time this April is very sad and it's the thought that she will live on in my cousins and the everlasting memory of all the good times that we shared that will help dealing with it.

It is with sadness that we share in your loss of Elfriede. She was a wonderful person who always made you feel close to her when we would talk with her. Mom is also saddened at this time and sends her condolences. It is wonderful to think of how they met, by your mom picking mom up to go to Fairview on Thursdays for mass. It turned out to be a wonderful friendship that has lasted for years. Mom will truly miss her. We continue to keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.
