We all seem to share the memory of my Uncle Mike as a kind and gentle soul, with a warm sense of humour and a great capacity for love and generosity. To sit in quiet contemplation with him benefited one not only with his wisdom, but also with the thoughtfulness and diplomacy with which he expressed himself. His wit, warmth and wisdom - all of these things will be missed, by all of us. Lots of love to you, Tara and Steve, and also to his brother (my dad) Barry, sister-in-law Anne, and my brother Colin.

Michael was a wonderful kind-hearted and gentle man. I will never forget the gleam in his eye and smile on his face whenever he was with or sharing stories about his Tara. I always admired him as the loving and devoted Dad that he was. I am thinking of you, Tara, and so glad you have Steve by your side.

I was a colleague of Mike's at BMHC in the 1960s. He was such a friendly chap, quick to share a laugh with whomever was around him. To me he was the personification of 'cool'. Mike attained that rare quality in the work place--- he was his own unique self. He marched to his own beat.
May he rest in peace. My sincere condolensces to his family.
Richard Wilding, Winnipeg.
