Obituary of Olga Alexandria Krynski

KRYNSKI: Olga Alexandria Krynski of Brandon, mother of Andrew, Albert (Laurie) and Joanna (Jay), passed away suddenly at her home on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the age of 75 years. Olga was born on February 22, 1940, in Illke Ukraine. She was the only child of Anna and Michael Grech. Olga came to Canada as a visitor and met Stanley Krynski. They were married on October 16, 1965, and lived on the farm that was located just south of Kemnay, Manitoba. Gardening was always a passion, both floral and vegetable. She loved making jam, sauerkraut and wine. Her pickles and pickled beets even won awards at the Brandon Pickle Festival. Olga made sure to keep the traditions of Poland and Ukraine alive in the home with the language, food and culture. Together, Stan and Olga raised three children, and were blessed to have five grandchildren Emily, Danika, Aidyn (of Brandon) and Olivia and Andrea (of Portage la Prairie). She spent her last 11 years as a daycare provider and loving grandmother. Olga was predeceased by her parents, and recently by her husband Stanley in 2013. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Prayers were held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Patrick Neufeld as Celebrant. Interment followed at the Brandon Cemetery. Donations in memory of Olga may be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation, Unit 3-824-18th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 5B7.
