Obituary of Gordon Ronald Cookson

COOKSON: Gordon Ronald Cookson passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Monday, May 4, 2015 at the age of 70 years. Gordon is survived by his children Beth (Sean) Merino of Vancouver, BC, Greg (Keri) Cookson of Kamsack, SK and April (Brandon) Keeping of Brantford, ON. He is also survived by his grandchildren Audra-Lyn, Zachery and Anthony Merino; Madison, Gracie and John Cookson; Finley and Harrison Keeping; siblings Charles (Edna) Cookson and Loretta (Fred) Millard, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Gordon was predeceased by his parents Art and Beulah, sister Marjorie, brothers Harry and Donald and nephews Rick and Brian. A family graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015. A tea for family and friends will follow at the Salvation Army Brandon Citadel, 9 Princess Avenue East, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Gordon may be made to the Salvation Army, 9 Princess Avenue East, Brandon, MB, R7A 1R8 or to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415-1st Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 2W8.
