Obituary of Bonnie Saunders

SAUNDERS (McInnes): Bonnie Lee Saunders, beloved wife of Dennis, dear mom of Dan (Marla) and Chris (Denise) and grandma of Dawson, Dezerae, Haley, Ryker and Griffin, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the age of 66 years, surrounded by her family and love. Bonnie was born on June 14, 1948 to Donald and Noreen McInnes. One of nine children, she treasured her siblings and their closeness. Family togetherness fulfilled her life from her time as a child to having children and grandchildren of her own. Throughout her life, importance was placed on family. She truly enjoyed family gatherings, cooking and baking for everyone. Christmas was a time where she provided many friends, co-workers and family with her delicious dainties, as well as the best wrapped presents and festive home. Bonnie had a hard work ethic. She contributed as much effort to her work as she put into her family. Working various jobs throughout her life, the last one being Richmond Dry Cleaners. She enjoyed that it was a family owned business and loved getting to know all the people she had the opportunity to meet throughout her years there. Her hard work ethic passed onto her boys. She was so proud of their accomplishments, their careers and their families. Bonnie was blessed with five grandchildren, who she treasured, loved, spoiled, and had fun with. From going on raft rides, skating, wading at the pool, and supporting their various sports and concerts, she was always there for them. Bonnie loved to camp and made sure she always had candy and sparklers on hand for the kids that were around. She loved sitting by the fire with everyone, enjoying all the laughs and good times. As a child, Bonnie loved to camp, and it brought great fulfillment to see her own children and grandchildren take such pleasure in it too. Bonnie, with as much effort she put into providing care for others, fought to beat the health issues that challenged her in the last five years. A fight that provided loved ones five more years of her love, had finally over taken her. Left to remember this wonderful lady are her husband, sons and families as well as her mom Noreen McInnes, her sisters and brothers Lynn (Richard), Barb (Wayne), Don, Dave (Susan) , Jo Ann (Guy), Shawn (Erica), Rick (Shauna). Her sisters and brothers-in-law Fran (Rick), Viv, Greg (Lori), Bob, and so many nieces, nephews, and friends that were dear to her heart.
