Obituary of Dennis Smoke

SMOKE: Dennis Smoke passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the age of 56 years. Dennis was born on August 28, 1958 in the Long Plain First Nation, to Walter Myron and Edith Smoke. He leaves to cherish his memories his three daughters Arlene, Rona and Rosemarie; brothers Kelly, Allan and Donald; sisters Karen and Brenda and his grandchildren, Conway (Arlene), Bradley, James, Jenna and (Rosemarie), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Dennis was predeceased by his wife Justine Beaulieu, his parents Walter and Edith Smoke, his grandparents, brothers Carl and Dean and his sisters Marie, Eileen, Yvonne and Maxine. Dennis was loved by all who knew him in Brandon, Winnipeg and Portage la Prairie. He grew up in Long Plain and Dakota Tipi First Nation. He worked in Rivers and Portage in the Campbell Soup Company. Dennis loved teasing and joking with people. He enjoyed playing Crib and won tournaments at the Portage Friendship Centre. He will be missed by all that knew him, especially in Brandon. A memorial feast will be held in Long Plain First Nation at the Spirit Lodge on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Thank you to Brockie Donovan Funeral and Cremation Services for all services rendered.
