Obituary of Kathy Marie Wells-Fisher

WELLS-FISHER: Following a tough battle with cancer, Kathy Marie Wells-Fisher passed away at her home in Winnipeg on July 11th, 2015 at the age of 46 years. Kathy was born in Hamiota, MB, and grew up in Brandon, MB with her parents Barbara and Arvid Wells, and sisters Karen (Tim, AJ, Makeena), Cheryl (Jamie, Mike), and Lorraine (Richard, Jeff). She later moved to Winnipeg to pursue her career. Once established, she reunited with her old boyfriend, Gordon Fisher and they were married, having two daughters, Sheena (now 18) and Chelsea, (now 16). She opened a daycare out of her home so she could stay at home and take care of the kids. The daycare remained open for 15 years until Kathy was diagnosed with cancer. Kathy will be dearly missed by many. Her charm, wit and outgoing personality will never be forgotten. She leaves behind her friends, family and adored pets. Greeting her in heaven are her mom and dad (Barbara and Arvid), Tigger and close friend, Harley. A Funeral Service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, Brandon, on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Funeral Celebrant, Kim Lewarne officiating. It was Kathy's wish that those attending her service wear their favourite sports T-shirt or team jersey. Interment will be held at the Brandon Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Harris, Gwen and nice nurse, Rhonda.
