Obituary of Georgina Roberts

ROBERTS: Georgina Julia Roberts passed away at the Assiniboine Centre on Thursday, August 13, 2015 with her two daughters, Fay and Helen, by her side. Georgina was born on April 14, 1938 in Pleasant Bay, Nova Scotia. During her career, Georgina worked at McKenzie Seeds and later with We-Care. She was predeceased by our father Charles Gordon Casselman, her son Kevin Ernest Casselman and her husband John Roberts. She leaves behind her daughters Fay (Danny Kilmury), Darlene (Pat Smith), and Helen (Alan Billings). Her brothers and sisters back in Cape Breton will miss her terribly. Her sister/mom Jean and her partner in crime, June, will especially miss her phone calls and visits. Georgina leaves many grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she adored. She was a very kind and compassionate woman befriended by many. A memorial service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at the Brandon Cemetery.
