Obituary of Jessie Charlotte Turton

TURTON: Jessie Charlotte (Evans). With deepest sorrow, we announce the passing of Jessie on August 24th, 2015 at Valleyview Care Centre. She will be sadly missed by, her daughter Heather, son-in-law Dean Dickson, grandsons Jeff (Jazz) and Derek, and great grandson Brody, also her sister Merle Kshymensky, sisters-in-law Linda Evans and Janet Turton and numerous nieces and nephews. Jessie was predeceased by her daughter Lynn and husband Cliff, parents Robert and May Evans, sisters Jean McCutcheon, Vi Hopkins, brothers Bill, Ed, Bobby and Herbie Evans. Jessie was born July 28th, 1928 at the family home just west of Nesbitt, Manitoba. We as a family shared many of her experiences through stories told as she loved to reminisce about the early years. In the fall of 1958, she married Cliff Turton and from this union they had two daughters, Lynn and Heather. Jessie was very dedicated to her family and loved to spend time with them. She enjoyed gardening, baking, camping, travelling, curling and volunteering for the Canadian Diabetes Association. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew her. The family wishes to acknowledge the personal attention and exceptional care that she received during her time at Valleyview Care Centre and Brandon Regional Health Centre. A special thanks to Dr. Eagan for her support during this very difficult time. The Funeral service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Craig Miller officiating. Interment will follow at the Brandon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brandon Humane Society, 2200-17th Street East, Brandon, MB, R7A 7M6 or to a charity of your choice.
