Obituary of Jasper Henry Jackson

JACKSON: Jasper Henry Jackson passed away suddenly in Kindersley, Saskatchewan on Monday, August 31, 2015 at the age of 75 years. Jasper was born on January 16, 1940 in Brandon. He worked on the family farm with his dad until 1960. He then went onto work for the City of Brandon as a labourer and then moved to Calgary where he continued to work as a labourer for the City of Calgary. After his time with the City, he worked for Tage Davidsen Drywall Supplies for roughly 10 years. During his semi-retirement, Jasper enjoyed buying and selling acreages, where he enjoyed hobby farming and the company of his Jack Russell Terrier. He truly enjoyed the farm lifestyle. Jasper was known as a very honest and hardworking man and if he was your friend, he was a very good friend to you. Jasper was always telling jokes and loved meeting up with friends for coffee. Jasper is survived by his sisters Myrtle (George) Hutlet, Belle Jackson, and Marie Stephen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Emily and Arthur, his sister Alva, a very good friend and partner for over 30 years, Edith, brothers-in-law John, Paul, Norman and his niece Lana. The Funeral Service took place at the Brockie Donovan Chapel on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Arlene Robertson officiating. Pallbearers were Paul Hutlet, Ron Paddock, Ross Jackson, Harvey Jackson, Lorne Enright and Ross Roney. Interment followed at the Methven Cemetery where Jasper was laid to rest beside his paternal grandfather James Henry Jackson.
