Sandra you will be with me as I travel down the highways and byways of life. We sure went on many MEMORY Travels over the past year seeing all the sights and you pointing out to me the fun times you had with your family and friends. Growing up here doing this there. Craft Sales, Xmas Shopping where so many friends you encountered. Baking your Xmas treats. Working together at The Red Apple, Pontoon Rides etc.
I will miss our long talks on life our ups and downs we both encountered along the way. You have left so many CHERISHED MEMORIES for us all and your Family.
ANGELS ABOVE will guide you. God Bless my DEAR FRIEND

A thank you to the many people involved in Sandra's care:
The family of Sandra McLean would like to thank the many people involved in her care; who provided support and friendship; and who ensured her final wishes were respected and followed. Thanks to Dr. Pio and the many people at Killarney hospital & clinic (nurses, lab & x-ray, dietary, house keeping, reception, etc) who showed such compassion and great care; the many staff and departments at BRHC and CancerCare in Brandon who all provided exceptional care; the ladies with the "Look Good, Feel Good" program who helped her feel better about herself and feel pampered; Romnie at Ultimate Hair Centre for her upbeat attitude and for finding such a perfect match for hair (wig); the many coworkers of the past (nursing) and present (The Red Apple) who were like family to Sandra and gave a sense of normalcy to her life; the many neighbours and friends who checked in on her regularly, went for road trips, had the quilt sent to her, and gave her support in many ways (listening, sending cards, calling); the coffee girls for their support; and all those who were there in any other way while she needed you. Please know that Sandra appreciated every single gesture of support from each level of health care, from family, from coworkers, and from friends. Sandra appreciated Dr. Moller's cheery, sunny face – it brightened Sandra's spirits; Dr. du Plooy's quiet sense of humor - it made her giggle; Dr. Bashir's speed with which he targeted the Cancer so quickly to shrink a tumor and his frank discussions; the kindness & professionalism of the ER doctors (Drs. DeCosse, Benade, Wareham, Pham, and Adamson – hope we didn't miss anyone and that we spelled your names right!); surgeons involved in port insertion (Drs. Goosen and Forsythe); Audiology department for regular screening; Hospitalist Dr. Minders for her well placed humor, fantastic artwork (drawing of body and tumors), and professionalism in helping Sandra and the family at every step of the way during her hospitalizations; Drs. Nkosi and Boon with their kindness, attention to Sandra and advice to the family; staff at Brockie Donovon for their compassion, patience and professionalism; Kim Lewarne (Celebrant) for putting together a beautiful Celebration of Sandra's life; Craig Vint for arranging things at the cemetery and meeting up with family to mark the grave site; Dana & Perry Fisher for clearing snow at the cemetery; and to anyone we have missed. We appreciate everyone and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
After her passing, we are all grateful to the many caring gestures of support: the cards, flowers, snacks, meals, messages of support and phone calls. Knowing that so many people cared for Sandra and are there for us, is comforting to all of us.

Sandra was a great nurse, and a good friend. She will be missed.
We worked together for several years at Pelican Lake, and I always admired her dedication, and the way that she interacted with our clients.
She was a gentle and caring person.
I know that she had her burdens in life, but she never let that affect her actions and responses. She was always cheerful and up-beat, even after having her diagnosis.
She seemed to love the few days over the last several months when she would sneak out between treatments, and go to work at the Red Apple. She said it was good for her.
I appreciated her wisdom, her down to earth common sense, and her friendship.
I admired her work with her miniatures, and the porcelain dolls. And the way that she did all she could to learn more about how to be a blessing to Shanna.
I love you, Sandra! You did well.

To Jim and all of Sandra's family. We wish to send you our sympathy with the loss of your dear wife and mother. We did not know she was battling cancer. We have known Sandra for many years and she was a lovely person. Most recently, I had visits with her while she worked at the Red Apple in Killarney. She was always interested in the news from Wawanesa and our family. Our hearts go out to each of you at this very sad time. Sending all of you loving thoughts and hugs now and in the days ahead.
Sincerely, Wayne & Val Gullett, Wawanesa
