The Tang-Wai family sends its condolences to the Myers family for the loss of dear Dr. Bob - and we are so sorry that it is three years late.
My own last memory of Dr. Myers was the story he shared at my dad's funeral barely a month prior to Dr. Myers' own passing. His story was heartfelt and hilarious, his comic timing irreproachable. My dad, the late Dr. Robert Tang-Wai, was himself a respected doctor in Brandon, and he stated many times that he believed Dr. Myers to be one of the most gifted surgeons he had known. Along with that gift, he was kind, funny, and generous with those around him. He was a pillar of our community, someone you could always count on, and he is missed.

Just today heard of Dr Bobs passing.
I am so sad that he has left us but happy that he is now with your mom.

Our deepest sympathy to all of Dr. Myer's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was one of the finest men I have known. We valued him as the doctor for our children, as well as valuing his friendship. I admired his support of many of Brandon's activities. It was always a great pleasure to chat with him and to get a friendly smile and a hug. He was the head of such an admirable family. You are all in my heart at this sad time. He will be remembered fondly by so many people and it will certainly include the Ehnes Family.

I have fond memories of playing volleyball with Bob at the Brandon YMCA in the late 60's. Even though he was older that me, I remember how competitive he was and didn't like to lose. He was a good player.
I know its a difficult time for the family but he had a good, long life and will be remembered by all.
My deepest condolences to Bob's family. Sincerely.

For two decades Bob Myers was my father-in-law. Both Bob and his beloved Joann were outstanding role models who really understood what families are all about! A warm, intelligent, athletic and fun-loving man who touched so many, he was interested in and participated in many activities and organizations. Doctor Bob put forth the time, money or effort into what he believed in. Building the "new" YMCA. was an example.
I have yet to meet a man I admired as much as Dr. Myers.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this tribute. Dr. Myers was not only a fantastic physician but also a gentleman in the true sense of the word. He was there for my mother and I when my father passed away and he was there for me as my doctor up to the age of 18. He finally had to tell me that I had to get another doctor. He genuinely cared about you as a patient and a person.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends but also the medical community that he was such a valued member of.
I can only hope that at this time you can focus more on what he has left you with than the pain of your loss.

I was deeply saddened to learn of the death of a true citizen of Brandon and a life-long friend. Doctor Bob was my doctor until he specialized in pediatrics. His contributions to Brandon, medicine and the hospital will never be forgotten. He never failed to brighten my day whenever I ran into him on the street or the hospital. My wish for his family is that time will be the great healer. It cannot erase the beautiful memories we hold of him. But it can ease the pain of his passing. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

We met Dr. Myers a few years ago when he came with his wife to visit their daughter Barbara in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. They came to our house and as we sat around talking, Dr. Myers reached out his hand for his wife and without looking, she did the same. They sat their quietly holding hands, both smiling gently. Their closeness and love was expressed wordlessly. That memory makes us smile even today, years later.

Dear family of Dr. Myers
When I first moved to Brandon my firstborn was barely two. Dr. Myers met my son and introduced himself to him and started talking to his Pooh bear that he had tightly wrapped around in his arms. This is endeared him to my son and he was no longer afraid. May you find comfort that your husband father grandfather made others feel comfortable. God's blessings on your family. Jetta Fletcher
