Our condolences to the Comty family at this difficult time. Dave and I are currently on vacation, and are unable to attend the the celebration of Jacques life. I had the pleasure of working in Radiology with Dr. Comty until his retirement. His caring attitude and charming demeanour was recognized by staff and patients alike. When Jacques and Dave were introduced many years ago, they developed an immediate rapport. Over the year we met Maryse, Madame Comty, Pierre, Bruno, Martine and Iris. After Maryse passed ,we met Lydia and her family. Jaques and Lydia made an elegant couple.
We remember the staff parties on Grant Blvd, and McDiarmid Drive, and also visiting with Jacques and Lydia at their home at Sandy Lake. We had the pleasure with golfing with Jacques in Onanole. He was well into his seventies at the time, and walked the course with no problem ! He was truly a class act !

Dear Pierre ,Martine and Iris ,
Des and I would like to offer our condolences on the recent death of your father ,As "new comers" to Brandon in the early 1970's we have many lovely memories of time spent in the Comty home. Whether it was for a dinner party in the evening or a coffee morning with your grandmother, a good time was had by all.
Although we have lived in Winnipeg for 21 years now, we have never forgotten those early years and the wonderful people in Brandon who enriched our lives .
Kathy and Des Kadambi.

We will always remember Jacques' gracious hospitality and friendly, welcoming demeanour. Many toasts with a glass of Scotch were shared at 5 with he and Lydia and typically, a group of fellow visitors. We will always marvel and aspire to his ability, well into his late eighties, to make many trips each New Years Eve up and down their steep snowy slope to the lake where, he built a roaring good bonfire, and then, pour out champagne for the new and old friends who joined him there, to toast the coming year.
What an interesting life! It spanned several continents and countries and stretched over many decades. How special it was to be able to hear him relate his rich life experiences during relaxed conversation.
We hope to help keep up the traditions with which Jacques and Lydia enriched our lives.
Our condolences to his family,
Wayne and Marilyn (Lydia's niece) Schick

Sadly, we are in Mexico at this time, but we want the Comty family to know that we are thinking of them I this time of sorrow.
Gerry met Jacques at St. Boniface when he was doing his radiology residency there. Later, we moved to Brandon and Jacques and his family were some of the first people we knew there. We spent some pleasant evenings with Jacques, Maryse, Martine, Bruno, and Iris. For a few years there were x-Ray pool parties enjoyed by everyone.
There was great sadness when Maryse passed away, but then we had the opportunity to meet Jacques mother. Later, Lydia became an important part of Jacques life. They were certainly a lovely couple. It was obvious that they both loved to dance as they both loved life.
Once again we want to send our condolences to all of the Comty family.
Gerry and Sandy Coueslan
