Obituary of William 'Craig' Allen

ALLEN: William "Craig" passed away peacefully March 13, 2016 in Brandon at the age of 65 years. Born February 27, 1951 to Hugh and Kay Allen in Brandon, he was the youngest of 3 children. Craig grew up in the East End of Brandon, and met his future wife, Patricia, when he transferred to Vincent Massey from BCI. They married in January 1973, and completed the family with a son Chris and daughter Erin. Craig worked at Brandon Mental Hospital until moving to England in 1986. After working at Barton Hall, a seniors' home, for a couple years, they returned to Brandon where Craig began work at BGH, then at the Assiniboine Centre as a nurse's aide. He retired in 2005. During his retirement, he built his "dream garage" and then spent many hours enjoying it while working on various projects. Craig leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Patricia, children Chris (Melissa) Allen, Erin (Rob) Meagher, granddaughters Kate and Sophie Meagher and Abby and Tori Allen, his siblings, in-laws and extended family, as well as many friends. A celebration of Craig's life was held March 18th at Brockie Donovan Chapel.
