Obituary of Alma Forsyth

FORSYTH: On Thursday, April 21, 2016, Alma Arline Forsyth (Thomas) passed away peacefully at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, at the age of 80 years. Alma was born June 2, 1935 at Grenfell, Saskatchewan, the youngest of six siblings raised on the family farm. In January 1954, Alma married Lorne Edward Forsyth. Lorne and Alma settled in Brandon, and in September 1959, welcomed their first son, Randy. In August 1962, Brooke, a second son became a member of the family. Alma worked as an insurance broker for many years until retiring to tend to her beautiful flower gardens and play a few rounds of golf. Alma was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was predeceased by her mother Rosalie, father Jacob, all brothers and sisters, husband Lorne and son Brooke. Alma is survived by her son Randy (Cathy) Forsyth of Saskatoon, daughter-in-law Marie Linski and son Cody McCutchin of Brandon, granddaughter Allison (Chris) Risling of Lethbridge, grandson Thomas Forsyth of Saskatoon, great-grandson Everett and great-granddaughter Charlotte, as well as many friends and neighbours in the community. She will be dearly missed. A Graveside Service for family and close friends was held at Rosewood Memorial Gardens on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Alma may be made to a charity of choice.
