Obituary of Carmen Alice Roach

ROACH: Carmen Alice Roach, 76, of Brandon, Manitoba, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 2, 2016 following a long decline from dementia. She was born to Charles and Marie Elise Porquet on June 6, 1939 in New Waterford, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, into a family of eight. There she met her future husband Henry J. Roach; following a life of a home maker and mother raising two children. In 1974, Carmen and family left Shilo, Manitoba, and moved to Brandon. At the time she became a hair dresser and worked at Princess Park Hair Salon. After many years and raising her children, she began a semi-retired life, then to full retirement. Carmen is survived by her three sisters: Regina McPhee, Denise Gillis and Martha O'Sullivan; two brothers, Charles Porquet and Henry Porquet; son Kevin Roach and daughter Tracy Rempel. She is predeceased by two brothers: Louis and Benny Porquet; her mother and father and husband, H. J. Roach. A private Graveside Service was held for family at Brandon Cemetery where she was laid to rest in the company of her late husband; may they have a pleasant after life. Rest in Peace. God bless.
