Margaret 'Marg' Fraser

Obituary of Margaret 'Marg' Harriet Fraser

FRASER: Margaret Harriett Fraser, of Brandon, passed away at Clear Lake on June 16, 2016. Marg was born in Brandon on July 17, 1928 to Cecil and Agnes Luce. After completing high school, she attended Business College in Brandon where she met her husband, Ken Fraser. Marg and Ken were married in Brandon on June 18, 1949. They were married for 57 years, and raised two daughters, Jill and Barbara. Marg's family was her life, but she also had many passions along the way. She loved travelling, antiquing, refinishing furniture, knitting, doing stained glass works, playing bridge, and golf. She had a large circle of friends, but none so special as Bernice Atkinson and Janet Maginel with whom she had so many wonderful times. She had a special relationship with her grandchildren who never tired of her stories of mischievous, youthful adventures. Marg is survived by her daughters, Jill Fraser and Barbara (Donald) Little, grandchildren, Nancy (James), Ainsley (Ben), Christopher (Eva), Jacqueline (Jesse), and Monica (Jerry), and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Vern Band. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Ken, her brother Jack, and her grandson Kyle. "Bye for now." A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marg may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Foundation, 339-12th St. Brandon, MB R7A 4M3, or a charity of one's choice.
