Our deepest condolences Kathy, Steve, Alicia, and Mike. We are so sorry and heartbroken for your loss. It gave my great peace and comfort in my life to have re-connected with Dad. On the day we saw each other again, it couldn't of been a more perfect day and the re-newal of a beautiful relationship that I treasured. I felt like I had known him my whole life. I always looked forward to our phone visits and quickly learned so much about him. He may of had a tough and rugged exterior, but I don't think he could fool anyone with having the biggest heart of anyone I had ever met. When he talked of you all and his grandchildren, I heard nothing but pride in his voice. He was so proud of you all, he was a true family man. When he spoke of his friends and extended family, you knew he was that guy that would be there in a heartbeat if you needed anything, and loyal to the end. He was a good man. I enjoyed his cheeky humour, and I think Bill had finally met his match for being a "teaser". They both loved it. A conversation that stands out in my mind is when I found out my daughter Tyra was pregnant. She was so young and we were so worried and scared for her. I talked to Dad on the phone and he was just calm and matter of factly. He said, "She won't be the first and she won't be the last. It will be Ok". We talked some more, and when we said our good-byes, he said, " well we will talk to you later.......GRANDMA !!" And he started to chuckle. So I said " Sounds good ......GREAT GRANDPA !!". And then we both chuckled. It was some comic relief and it was cute. And he was right, everything was Ok, even better than Ok. I look at my beautiful and amazing grandson everyday and can't imagine life without him. He is a gift. I think in his own way Dad showed me there is always room for more love in your heart. It doesn't ever stop, it just keeps growing. I look at my life and I think "Thank you Dad for this beautiful life, you are part of the reason I'm here". I look at my daughters and my grandson and think there is a little bit of him in his own way in us. I thank you Kathy for always being so supportive of our relationship and a big part of it as well. You are all really good and kind people and I thank Dad for an extended family. You have all been in our thoughts and prayers everyday. Sending lots of love and strength to you all, xoxoxo.
Love Michelle

My Dear Ken, I send my deepest, most sincere condolences to you and your family on the sudden passing of your big brother, Wayne. I know how close the two of you were, and the countless wild and crazy adventures the two of you shared growing up.
Wayne was a very kind and genuinely nice person. He always had a smile on his face whenever we ran into each other and always spoke proudly of his sons, Steve and Mike, and wife, Kathy. He will be greatly missed.
