Obituary of Rosaline May Hearn

HEARN: Rosaline (May) Hearn The family is saddened to announce the death of our beloved Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma on Wednesday September 28, 2016 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Mom was born on January 11, 1932 to Ivan and Katherine Sparks in Miniota, Manitoba where she was raised and later attended school. Once finished school she worked at Hamiota Hospital. In 1954 she met her husband, Bert Hearn, and they were married on August 20th, 1955 at St. Matthew's Anglican Church in Brandon. Dad and Mom farmed in the Cardale area until the early 1960's. They then lived in various locations throughout south-western Manitoba until settling in Brandon in 1964 which became their home. From 1956 through 1968 Mom and Dad were blessed with six children: one daughter and five boys. Mom worked tirelessly at home raising and caring for her family. She loved gardening, knitting and making ceramic treasures for her family. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband, Bert, in January 2000; her daughter-in-law, Sheilaugh in April 1997 and her eldest son, Ivan, in May of this year.
