It must be over 30 years since the original 'power forward' came out of retirement from pee wee hockey, to join the Emerson Border Lions Oldtimers team! Alan floundered with the rest of us (though we thought we were pros), until our wives reminded us of how slow we looked over drinks at the Spot! Jackie and I have fond memories of our time at your cottage and of course renting your home for a year. It was another lifetime that we will never forget. So sorry Karen to learn of Allen's passing. He was one of my first friends when I moved to southern Manitoba and as a co-worker he always kept us entertained. Words cannot express the deep sadness we felt on hearing of Allen's passing. We have shared so many memories over the years that will be cherished in our hearts. Remember the day I introduced you to Allen just before our Grade XII grad? That led to the day of your beautiful wedding 41 years ago. Now through all the years of raising our children together, sharing a cottage and numerous other adventures we have come to this present time of grief and sorrow. We were so sad to hear of Allen's passing. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Karen, Sarah, Nathan, Allana and their families.
