Shannan and family,
We are truly sorry for your loss. We remember our Lehigh days as the good old days, and have such great memories of our neighbors and friends. We remember Mike in so many ways, shovelling snow in those nasty winters, writing his version of "You're Movin", Be Happy" when we moved away, and hamming it up in the igloo behind us on a certain New Year's Eve night! May you hold him close in your heart and in your memories. We are thinking about you all.
Sincerely, Paul and Jan Peters

So very sorry to hear of Mike's passing. May his family be assured of what a great guy he was to so many within the Brandon School system and in the community. All our memories of Mike and the impact he has made for so many will always be cherished and remembered. One of the ways that teachers impact students and others is that we take hold of some aspect of those teachers into our own lives. Part of Mike and his positive attitude and his gracious respect for all people will live on in me.
I started my teaching career at Neelin in the 60's and ended it 43.5 years later at Neelin. Mike was at Neelin in the last 5 years of my career. Mike was always very interested in the classrooms where the Special Needs students were. On more than one occasion he cleared off his office desk to have lunch with a couple of students. If opportunity had lent itself in that direction these students would have brought him lunch while he was in hospital . Mike went out of his way to greet staff and students as they passed by in the hallways.
We do not know the reason why certain things happen in life but Mike will always be remembered as The Best of The Best.
Jan and Sig Eiriksson

Shannon and family - I was saddened to hear of Mike's passing and very sorry for your loss. May the memories of who he was, how he lived, and the many lives he touched bring some comfort and strength to help you through the difficult days and weeks and months ahead.
My association with Mike over many years had a great impact on both my personal and professional life from our first meeting as young teachers in what was then Duck Mountain School Division, through many great years working together at Neelin, to our recent chance meeting at Vincent Massey in October just days before he became ill. We reminisced about our time at Neelin, talked about our respective families, and how friendships remain strong even though contact may be sporadic over time. Mike also shared with me that he had mixed feelings about transferring to Massey, but that he was looking forward to attending his childrens' graduation from Neelin only as a father, rather than as a school principal.
I recall vividly Mike's excitement many years ago when arriving at school following the birth of his son. Although my children are a few years older, we often shared notes on the precious moments of family life. His deep commitment to family was evident in our last conversation during his illness when he graciously declined an invitation for coffee saying he wanted nothing more than to spend time with his family during this challenging time. His devotion to family was a sentiment I respected and fully understood.
Rest in peace Mike.

Shannan and kids-
We cannot begin to tell you how sorry we are for the loss
Kids- I grew up with your dad remember fondly of the days spent skating on His dad's homemade frozen rink. Hours of fun being reckless as 10 year olds being "hockey stars".
We will always cherish the time at your house sitting by the pool in the backyard, telling stories and recanting the days gone by. Such laughs and such good memories.
One day I will tell you the story of " greased lightning " and we can share the laugh and smiles your father always had for his friends and for the moments that made memories.
Mike was one of the smartest, quickest, and funniest men I knew and yet, he was also the most caring and genuine. A exceptionally rare persona in anyone.
Shannan,( kids) , please know Mike made us all better for knowing him and for us being his friend .

A while back, Mike and Shannan came to our place for a drop-in social visit. our horrified daughter couldn't figure out what the Vice Principal of her school was doing at her parent's house! A few years later Mike was at the Brandon University congratulating the newest teaching grads, one of them being our daughter. Mike was a kind and genuine person. We are forever grateful for knowing Mike as a friend and an Administrator that shaped so may student's lives. There is profound sadness in our hearts now that he is gone.
Shannan, Jordan and Aisha, we pray that your pain will ease in time.
To the Adamski families, we send our sincere condolences.

I'm very saddened to hear of Mike's passing. He and I were friends for many years and although we hadn't seen each other lately, I was lucky to have had a great conversation with him a couple of months ago. It was a great privilege for me to have been such friends and shared many great times together, especially at BU. AC & The Delcos comes to mind but there are countless others. Mike was an exemplary human being and all that knew him are aware of that. And aware of his sharp mind, clever sense of humour, and prankster personality. Shannan, my sincerest sympathies go out to you and the kids. We are all better off for having had Mike in our lives. He will never be forgotten by any of us - ever.

Don and I knew Mike both personally and professionally in our much younger lives. He was so clever and never missed a chance for a laugh.
He was also at Neelin for both of our kids, so they had the extreme pleasure of getting to know him too.
One day while delivering something to the school for one of my kids, as I quickly passed the office, I hear over the intercom.."Good Morning, Mrs. Green", there was no mistaking who that was.
His passing is a great loss, to so very many.

We were fortunate to have Michael as the principal for 3 out of 4 of our children. He was a wonderful administrator but even more importantly a caring and genuine person. Over the years we got to visit with him at many school events, in particular the major productions in which he was a strong supporter. We always felt our kids were safe and cared for at school every day. He made a point of speaking to them in the hallways and noticing their activities and accomplishments. He will always be a special person to us. We admire that Michael was so proud of his own family and so passionate about Neelin. We will always remember him saying, "Once from Neelin, always from Neelin!!"
Our sincere condolences to the Adamski Family,
Brenda and Yves Lacerte

Boy, I am shocked and saddened to see this. My Condolances to all the family. My family were next door neighbors across from Michael's family growing up, as well as all the Adamski families. I have many memories of playing with them as we grew up. I then lost contact with the family as we all moved on with our lives. I had heard many times what an inspiration and how well liked Michael was by all the kids he came into contact with. Doesn't surprise me none, he was like that as a kid. May you Rest In Peace Michael.

Mike was an amazing, admirable man who was so very supportive during my son's first 2 years of high school at Neelin when he started to go down a road of destruction. Mike was always available, very caring and compassionate. His office door was always open and he was always willing to chat, listen to my concerns and the kleenex box was always available. My thoughts and prayers are with your wife and kids and extended family during this very difficult time. I know he will be watching over you all, along with his previous students who still struggle in life. Rest in peace Mike, you'll be truly missed by many of us parents.
