Our deepest condolences to Lynda, Grant, Graeme, Dianne, Alison and families for their loss of a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Don was a kind and caring man, a true gentleman in every sense of the word. The entire Hamilton family has lost a wonderful brother, uncle, and cousin. To all those whose lives he touched, his passing is a loss.
Don, now at peace, fought a hard and long battle, with Lynda and his family so lovingly by his side. His spirit will live on.
Though distance and circumstances separated us, we still managed to have some nice reunions throughout the years. The memories will always remain with us. You are all in our thoughts.
Sheila and Michael,
Ray and Ladine.

What memories, starting in Swan River about 1968 when I lived with Lynda, and Lynda and Don met, the Thanksgiving week-end in Thunder Bay, the wedding in Brandon, the renovations of the Brandon house which seemed to go on forever; Grant, Graeme, Alison and Dianne entering the family, and Don & Lynda were always the amazing hospitable couple, whether my visits were planned or unplanned. Don was always optimistic and adventuresome.
And then Don's health declined. Lynda, you walked with Don and travelled with Don, all the while finding a variety of incidentals that helped you stay cheerful or at least maintain perspective. What a journey you have had. You and the children and the grandchildren will miss Don so much!

Lynda, Grant, Graeme, Diane and Alison, we are so sorry for your loss. Our fondest memories are of the many dinner parties we shared with a group of like minded friends. Don loved great food and wine and sharing it with others. We will raise a glass in Don's memory and pray that the sun will shine on your many wonderful memories to brighten the days ahead.

All of the Gottschlichs were gathered together over the weekend and we shared with each other some of our fond memories of being with your family. One of those memories was of Don describing to us all how to cook a roast beef on the manifold of the car as you all traveled down the road on one of your adventures! How much fun and laughter we had together with you. Don was such a good man, not only with his family, but with all the rest of us who had the joy of knowing him. Our hearts are with yours at this time.

The Ehnes family always enjoyed the times we spent with any and all the the Hamiltons. Brandon has lost one of its finest men. It was such a pleasure to be with Don and we all wish we had had more times together. Somewhere I think I have a cassette tape of Don speaking with one of my boys as an assignment to interview someone with an interesting job. Lynda, Grant , Graham, Diane and Allison treasure your memories and know that there are so many of us who feel privileged to have known your husband and father.

I will remember forever the lovely walk the three of us went on in the fall colours of the trails in the park South of Brandon a couple of years ago. Don no longer had hiking stamina but the will to go for a walk remained strong and the day was a lovely one for a walk. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Lynda, and all of your family.
