Obituary of Ann Slashinsky

SLASHINSKY: Ann Maria Slashinsky, a long-time resident of Rivers, Manitoba passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017. Ann was born on September 23, 1961 in Minnedosa, Manitoba. At a young age, Ann moved to Ontario to start a new journey. There she raised her children, was a hard worker, working up to three jobs at once to make sure she gave the best life possible for her family. Her compassion and work ethic was impeccable. After over a decade in Ontario she moved home to be with family. Ann was employed by Fairview Home in Brandon, Manitoba and Riverdale Personal Care Home in Rivers, Manitoba where she created strong relationships with residents and co-workers. Her laughter was contagious and could brighten any atmosphere. Ann enjoyed good friends and socializing, but more than anything she loved her Ukrainian heritage and spending time with her loved ones. Ann was predeceased by her parents Mike and Maria Slashinsky. Mother of: Sylvia Lessey-Goodon (and her children Malcolm, Annie, Theodore, Rocklin, Matthan); Michael (Jenn) Lessey; Anthony Lessey; Wilfred Lessey (and his daughter Roxann) and Alex Lessey (and his son Lucas); ex-husband Neal Lessey. Also survived by sister Kathy Robinson; nephew Roy Robinson; nieces Kim Robinson (and her daughters Adelaya and Annabelle) and Amber Robinson. Honorary children Jordan Higgins; Kelly French; Cassandra Mason; Godchildren; as well as two adopted grandchildren.
