Since I was little, I didn't know my father and my mother raised Travis and I on her own. But uncle Sonny, Mavis's dad, and my mom would make sure we knew each other. Mavis was close to my age so we had a great time in San Jose where we went to stay with them. We have great memories of the Santa Cruz boardwalk, and camping. Later on they lived in salt lake City Utah when I first met my Dad and my other brothers and sister. But I already knew Mavis because we were both letter writers and always kept in touch. So many fun memories. My brothers, sister and I were close to her because she was an only child in our experience, so we included her and have lots of memories. We loved music and dancing, and movies. One time when we went to see Halloween, we were so scared to walk home we sprinted all the way home from the theater and laughed so long . Another time we were swimming at Winnebago trying to cross the river. After a long while I was getting tired and I saw said, " long ways huh" and she said , " yeah" in between strokes and we both started laughing and almost drowned because it was harder to swim and laugh. We were always laughing. . I'm sad as after she moved to Canada, I Never saw her again but once at Winnebago. Only phone calls after that. I look forward to seeing her in the spirit world. Our Sister Mavis Jean. Love and prayers :purple_heart:

Mavis Jean Harden, "Mave the Rave" is my big sister! I use the term Big Sister to the analogy to the term of Big Brother. Mavis was a person who paved the path for me. She was first to experience the life we had in UTAH. Mave lived in Ogden, Salt Lake City, and for a short time in Fort Duchesne. We loved in California too, but I don't remember that time ( I was born in California). She was our family entertainment organizer and photographer. She was very successful to have every family member present, she loved all our uncles who have a very (personal unique) good sense of humor. We would laugh and laugh! She planned our camping trips, picnics, ice skating, hiking, movies, swimming, sleigh riding winter and summer ( on a block of ice) . Everyone participated , my younger siblings Jean, Tony, and Lance all shared a very close relationship with Mavis. Our family was very close, we shared holidays, birthdays, and family gatherings in the Beautiful state of Utah, UNITA Mountains, Canyons and Lakes. I love you Mavis ! Thank you for all the times we shared in our youth, for helping me grow in to the person I am today. Your brother Frederick Harden
