Obituary of Virginia Haverstock

HAVERSTOCK: The death of Virginia Haverstock (nee Tegg) of Sokol Manor, age 95 years, occurred at the Assiniboine Centre on Monday, February 5, 2018. She was born on September 3, 1922 in Brandon where she resided all of her life. She attended school at the old Central School. Virginia graduated as a Psychiatric Nurse from the Brandon Mental Hospital. She married Ed (Edge) Haverstock on June 12, 1943 and was pre-deceased by him in 1987 after 44 happy years together. She was pre-deceased as well by her 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Virginia will be lovingly remembered by her children: Darlene (Allan) Hawkins, Garry (Janette), Dennis (Gale), Bob (Shari), Allan (Bev), Susan (John) Down, Jack (Beverlee) and Shelley (Brian) Livingstone. There are 13 grand-children and 19 great grand-children. One sister, Vera Richardson of Langley, B.C. survives. A funeral service was held at Brockie Donovan Chapel on Monday, February 12, 2018.
