MANSOFF: Iris Evelyn Anstett, beloved wife of the late Jim Mansoff, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at the Assiniboine Centre. Iris was born on February 27, 1933 to Sophia and Lloyd Anstett at Lampman, Saskatchewan. They had seven daughters and two sons; Lillian, Marion, Audrey, Hilda, Mildred, Ellamae, Jim and Bob, all of whom are deceased. Also, a special sister, Evelyn, who was adopted into the family. Bob and Iris helped on the farm for 5 years after they finished at Sunrise School. They were only able to get as high as a Grade 8 education. Iris moved to Brandon when she was 18 years old. They lived in Brandon where Jim had his business "Mansoff Bros." Iris worked in the shop, doing the book work and answering the phone among other things. The family had a cottage at Sandy Lake where we spent lot of time. They also had a 5th wheel and made lots of trips to the lakes up north, doing lots of fishing and enjoying the country. By this time, all of the children were married, Betty (John), Bonnie (Rod), Barry (Della), Darrell (Sharon). This added 10 Grandchildren to the family: Chris, Carmen, Jennifer, Joshua, Jordan, Brianne, Brock, Travis, Harland and Lindsay.
